Constructed from solid brass, the interchangeable core is compatible with Corbin Russwin 8000 Series Mortise and Rim Housings, available in both 6 and 7-pin versions. One of the key advantages of this core is its rekeying convenience, allowing non-technical personnel to perform the task without removing the hardware from the door. This feature is particularly beneficial for buildings such as office complexes, hotels, schools, and hospitals, where rekeying can be labor-intensive and costly over time. The operation of the lock is seamless, with all keys (including change, master, and grand master) functioning normally, while a special control key is used for rekeying. Additionally, temporary construction cores can be utilized for added security during initial phases. With a limited one-year warranty, this product demonstrates both reliability and efficiency, making it an excellent choice for commercial applications.

Rekeying can be done by non-technical personnel without removing hardware from the door. When used system wide, IC provides tremendous rekeying convenience. When planned from the inception of a system, IC cylinders can be integrated with conventional cylinders.
IC is recommended for virtually all types of keying systems, such as office buildings, hotels, schools, hospitals and universities. When used in exit devices and other installations which are labor intensive to rekey, IC saves time and money over the life of the building.
All operating keys (change, master, grand master) operate the lock normally. To rekey, use the special control key. The control key operates at a separate shear line in certain chambers within the core. Only the control key is required to remove and install a core.
