CRL 8B10D6 8B Series Mill Aluminum 120" Square Base Shoe Drilled for 1/2" Glass is a versatile and lightweight solution designed to enhance your glazing projects. Weighing in at 30% less than the traditional B5S Series, this base shoe not only offers significant shipping cost savings but also contributes to environmentally friendly building practices. This aluminum base shoe is specifically drilled and counter bored with a 6" (152 mm) center-to-center spacing, accommodating 1/2" (12 mm) monolithic tempered glass. For custom requirements, CRL can modify the drilling to meet your specifications. Available in lengths of 10' and 20', both drilled and undrilled options provide flexibility for various applications. Designed to work seamlessly with CRL's patented TAPER-LOC® System, the 8B Series can be easily cut to the desired length using a chop saw equipped with a minimum 10" (254 mm) saw blade. With a height of 4-1/8" (105 mm) and a width of 2-1/2" (64 mm), this base shoe is built for durability and performance. Please note that CRL advises against direct powder coating of the base shoe extrusion, recommending instead a powder-coated cladding for optimal results.
