Morris 60244 is a versatile 600V Mastic Pad that boasts self-fusing capabilities, designed for ease of use in a variety of applications. This product molds and conforms effortlessly to irregular shapes, serving as either a final jacketing layer or as a preparatory layer for vinyl tape. It excels at covering cable lugs, splices, terminations, busbars, bare conductors, and telecommunication cable joints. Ideal for moisture sealing in overhead, direct burial, electrical, industrial, and marine environments, the amalgamating tape is easy to apply. Simply cut off the required length, remove the backing, and wrap with a 1/2 lap; the tape fuses as it cures, creating a robust bond. It can be wrapped, stretched, and molded around irregular shapes for insulation build-up during cable splice repairs. The Morris 60244 provides superior adhesion and offers moisture and chemical resistance to metal and cable insulations without adversely affecting polymeric cable jackets or shielding layers. It forms a permanent bond within 24 hours, ensuring long-lasting performance.
