Morris 67066 Streetlighting Y-Type Mechanical Breakaway Disconnect Kits are specifically designed for street and parking lot lighting applications. These kits provide a reliable electrical disconnect when a light pole is separated from its base due to impact, enhancing safety and functionality in outdoor environments. Engineered for use in streetlight hand holes, the kits feature a completely waterproof rubber overmolded insulated body, ensuring the integrity of the connection and the safety of the installer. When separation occurs, the fuse or connecting link remains on the load side of the light pole, preventing disruption to the electrical system. The range-taking design accommodates a wide variety of wire sizes up to .38" in diameter, utilizing a stepped "ROCKET" sealing feature. The Morris 67066 is compatible with standard cartridge fuses measuring 13/32" X 1-1/2" and is rated for both copper and aluminum cables (AL9CU). With a capacity of 30 amps and a voltage rating of 600 volts, these kits eliminate the need for labor-intensive insulating methods like taping and heat shrink. Included in the kit are an EPDM rubber housing, fuse clips, a connecting link (as required), and silicone lubricant, providing a comprehensive solution for your streetlighting needs. Note that a fuse is not included.
