Morris 96108 Above Ground Connector simplifies electrical connections with a design that saves time and enhances safety. This innovative connector can be installed in just minutes, eliminating the need for wire stripping, connecting, and taping of split bolts. It can be used on energized circuits without requiring a power shutdown, making it ideal for overhead services, street lighting, and non-tension splicing. The connector features a double shear-head bolt that ensures correct torque tightening, resulting in a reliable connection and reducing the risk of hot spots or loose wires. Installation is straightforward-just insert the jacketed cable into the entry port and tighten with a 1/2" socket. The red Turbo spacer allows for easy hand-tightening, while the blue rubber insert recreates insulation for use on bare wire, protecting the neutral messenger. Constructed from high-strength fiber-reinforced thermoplastic and galvanized steel bolts, the Morris 96108 provides a corrosion-free connection that withstands various environmental conditions. • No cable stripping required, simply insert the jacketed cable into the entry port & tighten with a 1/2" 6 point socket
• Red Turbo spacer allows tap side to remain open while you hand tighten the above ground connector on the main wire (all models except 96102 & 96104)

• Corrosion-free connection is good for hot, cold, damp, & salty connections. Properly installed the connector seals water-tight. This is accomplished by a sealant tank, that during installation is compressed and forces sealant out to protect the connection from oxygen and water. Copper teeth are tin plated, shell is high strength UV resistant thermoplastic insulating material, steel bolts are galvanized.
• The bolt and all external parts of the connector are completely isolated from energized parts and the bolt is covered by the plastic shear-head. The installer has no contact at any point with an energized part.
• Blue Rubber Insert recreates insulation when used on bare wire. Used to avoid any damage on neutral messenger. (Only on Models 96106, 96110, 96112, 96114)
