SELECT Products Limited SL21-83-BR-HD600 Swing Clear Heavy Duty Full Surface Geared Continuous Hinge is expertly designed for high-frequency door applications, capable of supporting doors weighing up to 600 pounds. Crafted from extruded 6063 T6 aluminum alloy, this hinge features self-lubricating polyester thrust bearings for smooth operation and durability. With a standard length of 83 inches, it is also available in lengths of 85, 95, and 120 inches to accommodate various door heights. This hinge is ideal for 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" doors, and for wider doors, long barrel nuts are available for 2" to 2-1/4" installations. It supports maximum door widths of 48 inches with 16 gauge hollow metal or 1/8" aluminum. The SL21 hinge is stocked in a striking dark bronze anodized finish, with custom options available, although field-applied finishes will void the warranty. Compatible with conventional overhead surface closers and concealed sliding arm overhead closers, the SL21-83-BR-HD600 provides a reliable solution for securing heavy doors. • Lengths: 83", 85", 95" and 120" lengths standard for nominal door heights.
• Load/Frequency Rating: For 1-3/8" – 1-3/4" doors standard; long barrel nuts available for 2" – 2-1/4" doors. 48" max. door width in 16 gauge hollow metal (min.) or 1/8" aluminum (min.).
• Heavy Duty 300: For high-frequency doors up to 300lb without frame or door reinforcement.
• Heavy Duty 600: For high-frequency doors up to 600lb Rivnuts are recommended in the frame when the door exceeds 450lb
• Finishes: All SL21 hinges are stocked in clear and dark bronze anodized aluminum. Custom anodized or painted finishes are available. Product painted or anodized in the field voids the SELECT hinge warranty.
• Closers: Conventional overhead surface, concealed sliding arm overhead or floor closers may be used with hinges. Pivot-type floor closers (with a fixed, conflicting center pivot) must be replaced.
