When choosing a surface vertical rod exit device, it is important to assess the specific needs of your building. Consider the door's material and size, as well as the expected traffic flow. Devices with three-point locking mechanisms can enhance security, making them suitable for high-traffic areas or facilities requiring additional safety measures.

Installation and maintenance are also key factors to consider. Ensure that the device is compatible with your existing door hardware and that it meets local building codes. Regular inspections and maintenance will help ensure the device functions properly and provides the necessary security and safety for occupants.
