98/9949-F Concealed vertical cable devices are certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.3 2014, grade 1 and UL listed for fire exit hardware. The 9849 device has a smooth mechanism case and the 9949 device has a grooved case. The concealed vertical cable device is non-handed except when the following device options are used: SD (special dogging), or SS (signal switch).
