Toilet Partition Hardware: How to Identify Bradley Partition Parts

Bradley toilet partition hardware kits have part numbers that start with HDW, and the right part depends on the partition material, the mounting style and the door swing. This page explains the parts as Bradley names them, how to read the numbers, and what to note before you order a replacement.

Bradley partition lines: Mills and Bradmar partitions

Bradley's Mills Partitions brochure (form 3788-3-1019) lists five materials: Bradmar solid plastic (HDPE), powder coated, stainless steel, phenolic core and Fusion (granite panels and pilasters with stainless steel or powder coated doors). The newer Bradley Partitions brochure (form 3788-2-0325) lists stainless steel and phenolic core. Both name the same mounting styles: Series 400 (Sentinel, floor-mounted, overhead braced), Series 500 (floor-braced), Series 600 (ceiling hung) and Series 700 (floor-to-ceiling).

Bradley's Mills Bradmar Partitions Service Parts List (0215MSP, effective February 1, 2015) shows Series 400 and Series 700 layouts with numbered parts and notes that items may be changed or discontinued without notice.

Bathroom partition hardware: the main parts

Names as used in that parts list and in Bradley's Series 400 installation manuals:

  • Headrail - the anti-grip aluminum rail that clamps over the pilasters (Bradley's PH400 spec sheet). The parts list has it without mounting kits, in actual sizes of 37, 59, 62, 73, 84 and 120 inches. The Headrail Open-End Kit includes brackets, an end cap and fasteners; the Between-the-Wall Kit has no end cap.
  • Pilaster shoes - the PH400 spec sheet describes 1-piece, 4 inch high, 300 Series stainless steel shoes. The parts list has Pilaster FMOB Shoe Kits and Pilaster FTC Shoe Kits in sizes 4 to 24 inches, without saying which dimension that is. The FTC kit adds a pilaster sleeve and two L brackets.
  • Brackets - stirrup brackets (single-ear, double-ear and U), continuous brackets in stainless steel or aluminum, alcove and urinal screen brackets. The stainless steel and phenolic manuals make stirrup brackets standard and continuous ones optional; the Bradmar manual does the opposite. The stainless steel manual notes that hole patterns may differ, so brackets may not be interchangeable.
  • Hinges - the standard hinge in the Series 400 manuals is a wraparound gravity hinge on stainless steel, a surface-mounted hinge on phenolic and an integral hinge (pintles set into the door and pilaster) on Bradmar; all three list an optional continuous spring-loaded piano hinge. The parts list has an Integral Hinge Pin Kit (top pintle, bottom pintle assembly, top pin, spring, set screws).
  • Latches and keepers - the slide latch on the door and the strike/keeper on the pilaster. The parts list has inswing and outswing strike/keepers, one-ear and flat versions, and a surface latch keeper in its No-Site kits; the stainless steel manual covers concealed and surface latches.
  • Coat hooks, bumpers and pulls - a coat hook with bumper (inswing), an outswing coat hook, a wall bumper, a door pull and a door pull with countersink. On PH400 phenolic partitions, doors 32 inches wide or less get a combination coat hook/bumper, and 34, 35 and 36 inch doors an individual coat hook, door bumper and door pulls. The manuals say to check local codes before installing the coat hook and door pulls.

The parts list also has a headrail curtain hook; Torx bits are not included in its kits.

How to read Bradley partition part numbers

A kit number starts with a four-letter prefix such as HDWP, HDWC or HDWT, followed by the item number and sometimes a suffix. Examples from the parts list:

NumberPartSuffix
HDWP-A0458-062Headrail62 inches
HDWP-S0451-04FMOB shoe kitSize 4 inch
HDWP-AD3IH-NSInswing door kitNo-Site

Do not build a number by changing one letter. In the parts list some stainless steel kits differ by one letter (urinal screen kit HDWP-A0057 is HDWP-S0057), others get a new number: aluminum continuous kit HDWP-A3FF (pilaster at wall) is HDWP-S0040 in stainless steel, and HDWP-A1PD (dividing panel) is HDWP-S0055. Our catalog lists some kits in two materials, such as the inswing coat hook kits HDWT-S0011 (stainless steel) and HDWT-Z0011 (Zamac); Bradley's brochures refer to chrome plated Zamac hardware.

The prefix needs the same care. The Bradmar parts list uses HDWP for nearly all kits, but its outswing coat hook is HDWT-S275. Bradley's manuals are numbered HDWT-INSTR-009 for stainless steel, HDWC-INSTR-005 for phenolic and HDWP-INSTR-013 for Bradmar, yet the phenolic manual lists its continuous piano hinge as HDWT-S0209 and HDWT-S0208, and our catalog has both HDWC-S0011 and HDWT-S0011 as inswing coat hook kits. Order the full number exactly as you have it.

Door swing: RHI, LHI, RHO and LHO

Bradley's manuals determine the door swing by facing the compartment from the outside and use four swings: right-hand inswing (RHI), left-hand inswing (LHI), right-hand outswing (RHO) and left-hand outswing (LHO). Inswinging doors have their hinges on the inside of the stall, outswinging doors on the outside.

  • Phenolic surface hinge kits: HDWC-SD1-LH (left hand in), HDWC-SD1-RH (right hand in), HDWC-SD2-LH (left hand out), HDWC-SD2-RH (right hand out).
  • Continuous piano hinge: S0209 for left hand in and right hand out, S0208 for right hand in and left hand out. In the parts list, kit HDWP-S0136 (RHI/LHO) contains hinge HDWP-S0208 and kit HDWP-S0137 (LHI/RHO) contains HDWP-S0209.

The manuals call these numbers prefixes only. Our door handing chart explains LH, RH, LHR and RHR for regular doors.

What to note before you order partition parts

  • The full part number, prefix included.
  • Partition material and mounting series (400, 500, 600 or 700).
  • Door swing and whether the partition is a No-Site design.
  • Sizes: headrail length, shoe size and door height. Bradley's brochures list extra-height doors and panels, 72 inches tall, or 69 inches for ADA stalls; some kits in our catalog carry the height in the number, such as HDWT-S0237-72.
  • Hardware material (stainless steel, Zamac or aluminum) and bracket type (stirrup or continuous).

These numbers are Bradley's own. We cannot confirm that a Bradley part fits partitions from another manufacturer. For installation, follow Bradley's manual for your partition, for example the Series 400 manuals for stainless steel (2024), phenolic (2018) and Bradmar (2023).
