You are replacing a tub that sits between three walls, and the Kingston Brass Aqua Eden you want comes as a left or a right hand drain model. For the 54 and 60-inch tubs below, Kingston's own product pages and spec sheets answer most of it, as long as you read the right drawing.
Left hand or right hand drain: read the spec sheet
Kingston sells the 60-inch Aqua Eden VTAP603222 as a pair. The title of the VTAP603222L names a Left Hand Drain Hole, and its page lists a left-handed drain placement. The VTAP603222R is its right hand twin.
The difference shows on the spec sheet. In the top view of the VTAP603222L sheet, the 2-inch drain hole is drawn at the left end, its center 8-7/8 inches from the outside of that end. The VTAP603222R sheet is the mirror image: the same hole, the same 8-7/8 inches, at the right end. The 54-inch VTAP543022 is also sold as L and R.
Neither the pages nor the sheets say in words which way you face when you call a drain left or right. The installation instructions will not settle it: the VTAP603222L and VTAP603222R instructions show the same drawings, drain at the same end. The top view does not label the apron side, so check the drain end against your alcove with your plumber or with us before you order.

The 54 and 60 inch sizes on the spec sheets
Kingston's bathtub size guide describes an alcove tub as one that fits a three-walled enclosure and has a front apron. The Aqua Eden pages list a tile flange for the 3-wall installation. Other Aqua Eden numbers of the same length have sheets of their own; the table covers these four.

Kingston gives the capacity as 58.2 gallons for the 60-inch pair, 55.6 for the VTAP543022L and 54.3 for the CVTAP543023L5. The two 54-inch numbers are not the same tub. The CVTAP543023L5 is taller, carries armrests in its title, and its sheet places the drain center 8-1/4 inches from the end, where the VTAP543022L sheet gives 7-7/8 inches. Take every measurement from the sheet of the exact model you order.
Faucet: no holes in the tub, so plan a wall mount filler
None of the four tubs has faucet holes. Each page says there are no pre-drilled holes and that the tub is designed for a wall mount tub filler. The VTAP603222L, VTAP603222R and VTAP543022L pages add that a deck mount filler would need holes drilled by the installer.

The tub drain and overflow Kingston lists
On the sheets, each tub has a 2-inch drain hole and a 2-3/8-inch overflow hole. The VTAP feature lists include no drain; the VTAP603222L, VTAP603222R and VTAP543022L pages list the same 13 compatible drains instead, polished chrome except the two overflow tubes. Kingston's titles describe them this way:

The tub pages do not say which length suits which tub, so open the drain's own page and spec sheet before you order. The CVTAP543023L5 combo already includes a brass tip-toe waste and overflow, which page 2 of its sheet draws as a 21-inch set. Its page lists its own compatible drains, mostly oil rubbed bronze, such as DTT2165 and DLL3165.
In these examples the last digit follows the finish: DTT2161 is polished chrome and DTT2165 oil rubbed bronze, and the combo CVTAP543023L5 is titled Glossy White with Oil Rubbed Bronze. Our guide to Kingston Brass model numbers and finish codes lists the finish digits.
Shower rod or tub door
For a curtain, the two 60-inch pages list 17 shower rods, among them the CCD2171 (60 to 72-inch, double curved) and the CC3171 (47 to 60-inch, curved), plus SRCR121 roller ball rings. The VTAP543022L page lists four rods: CC3171, KSR361, SCC2811 and SR361.
For glass, each 60-inch page lists one Toledo tub door, and on these two pages the door's hand is the opposite of the drain's. The left drain VTAP603222L page lists the SSD60608SR1, titled Right Handed, and the right drain VTAP603222R page lists the SSD60608SL1, titled Left Handed. Take the door number from the page of your tub instead of matching letters.
Kingston also sells a 60-inch alcove tub and a door under one number. The KVTAP603222L0 page lists a left hand drain tub of the same 60 x 32 x 21-5/8 size with a frameless sliding door, 57-7/8 x 60 inches, 5/16-inch glass and a right to left sliding direction. In matte black, the right hand drain version is the KVTAP603222R0.
What Kingston asks before installation
The VTAP603222L and VTAP603222R installation instructions start with what Kingston asks and recommends before the tub goes in:
- Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
- Make sure the floor is level, structurally sound and able to carry the full tub with water up to the overflow.
- Unwrap the tub and check it for transport damage and missing parts.
- Plan for a mortar bed: step 4 calls for a 4 to 6-inch layer of mortar mix under the tub basin.
- Lift the tub with at least one other person, using moving straps and rubber gripped gloves.
- Have it installed by a qualified licensed professional.
The same instructions leave out the waste connections: Kingston says your contractor determines those details. Local plumbing codes apply to the drain, the overflow and the faucet.
