A door schedule or a work order calls for something like XE360-M-OF-D-SM-BRW-622-P6-C, and you need to know what each block means before you order. Some of our product pages also ask for two choices that their part numbers leave open: Keyway and Integrator.
Where the XE360 code is defined
Schlage publishes one data sheet each for the XE360 wireless mortise lock, tubular lock and exit trim. Each sheet ends with an Ordering Information page that numbers the fields from left to right and refers you to Schlage's price book for specific configurations. Schlage separates the fields with hyphens; on our product pages you will also see the first ones run together, as XE360M, XE360T or XE360EW.
XE360M mortise lock, field by field
The mortise data sheet prints this example: XE360-M-WF-I-SM-LAT-626-P6-C-09-663-10-072-134-47467230. After the series name XE360, the table follows its order.
| Field | Code; meaning |
|---|---|
| Chassis | M; Mortise |
| Class | WF; RealSync via Wi-Fi |
| Class | OF; Offline via Bluetooth |
| Function | I, B, D; Indicator, button, deadbolt |
| Reader | SM; Smart, Bluetooth and NFC mobile |
| Lever | BRW, LAT; Broadway, Latitude |
| Lever | LON-E, NEP; Longitude extended length, Neptune |
| Finish | 619, 622, 626; Satin nickel, matte black, satin chrome |
| Key cylinder | P6; Conventional, 6-pin |
| Key cylinder | P; Conventional, 6-pin, keyed 5 |
| Keyway | C; Schlage Classic |
| Keyway | S123, S145, T125, T145; Schlage Everest, see below |
| Armored front | 09-663; For indicator and button |
| Armored front | 09-666; For deadbolt |
| Strike | 10-072; 1-3/16 inch curved lip |
| Door thickness | 134; 1-3/4 inch only |
| Door position switch | 47467230; With switch (DPS) |
| Door position switch | LLLDPS; Less switch |
Read that way, Schlage's example is a Wi-Fi mortise lock with the indicator chassis, Latitude lever, satin chrome finish and a door position switch. The data sheets list storeroom under I; office, privacy, apartment and storeroom under B, with the button ignored in storeroom; and privacy and apartment under D, the mortise deadbolt chassis with an interior thumbturn. The sheets also note that a door position sensor is required for the privacy and apartment functions, and a code ending in LLLDPS is ordered without one. For door position switches in general, see our guide to door position switches.
XE360T tubular lock: what changes
The tubular example reads XE360-T-WF-I-SM-LAT-626-P6-KD-C-47535555-A500-074-134-47467230. Functions are I or B only, and there is no armored front field. Two fields are new, and the strike has its own code:
- Bitting: KD, keyed differently (standard), or KA, keyed alike, which the sheet says requires additional specification.
- Backset and latch 47535555: adjustable backset of 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch, 1 x 2-1/4 inch latch with round and square corners included, 1 inch edge bore required.
- Strike A500-074: standard 1-1/8 inch lip, 1-1/8 x 2-3/4 inch, no box.
XE360EW exit trim: the adapter code
The exit trim example is XE360-EW-25R-WF-I-SM-LAT-626-P6-C-134-47467230. Its third field is the exit trim adapter, which the data sheet lists by exit device:
| Code | Exit device |
|---|---|
| 25R | Falcon 25 rim |
| 25S | Falcon 25 surface vertical rod |
| 99R | Von Duprin 98/99 or XP98/99 rim |
| 99S | Von Duprin 98/99 surface vertical rod |
| 78R | Von Duprin 78 rim |
| 22R | Von Duprin 22 rim |
| 22S | Von Duprin 22 surface vertical rod |
Functions are again I or B. There is no strike or backset field, and Schlage's product page gives backset, latchbolt and strike as defined by the exit device. The sheet adds two notes: the exit device and the request to exit (RX) assembly are sold separately, and the interior finish of the exit trim is always 622 matte black. For rim and surface vertical rod devices in general, see exit device types.
Choosing the Keyway option
Where an XE360 product page in our Schlage catalog asks for a Keyway, the choices are Schlage's codes. C is Schlage Classic, the standard. S123 and S145 are Everest 29 S keyways; T125 and T145 are Everest 29 T keyways, which Schlage lists as restricted cylinders. Schlage's product pages describe the standard as a conventional 6-pin cylinder in the Classic C keyway and the S123 option as a conventional 5-pin cylinder, each with two keys. The cylinder is there for the key override, standard on all XE360 locks and exit trims and concealed in the bottom edge of the lock.
Choosing the Integrator option
The second choice on those pages is Integrator, a list of access control providers. Schlage says the XE360 can be managed by Allegion software or integrated into physical access control and Proptech systems through its Technology Alliances program. The data sheets pair offline mode with the ENGAGE platform and RealSync with the Yonomi platform. Schlage's XE360 family page adds that ENGAGE supports only offline connectivity, while RealSync locks can only be managed through a Technology Alliances integration. The XE360 locks and exit trims in our catalog carry OF in the code, the offline mode.
Pick the provider that runs your property's system. According to Schlage, support for mobile credentials, lock functions and status signals depends on that provider. Schlage keeps its list of providers that have integrated the XE360 on the Technology Alliances page linked from each XE360 product page. If your provider is not in our list, call us before you order.
Offline mode, batteries and the FleX Module
In offline mode, access changes are made at the lock through a Bluetooth mobile app, and Schlage calls it suitable where updates can be periodic and infrequent. No-Tour, which uses smart or mobile credentials, lets you update access rights without visiting each lock; the data sheets tie it to the MT20W and to your provider's support. Schlage MIFARE smart credentials used for No-Tour need at least 1K byte of memory. The lock stores up to 2,000 credentials and 2,000 audits, a maximum that can vary by access control software.
All three XE360 products run on 4 AA batteries, included. The data sheets give up to 2 years in offline mode and 1 year in Wi-Fi mode, assuming default settings and 40 actuations per day. The 1 year minimum in Wi-Fi mode depends on access points and locks deployed in line with Allegion's Wi-Fi Network Setup Guide.
The FleX Module is the interchangeable part that, according to Schlage, allows for communication type, memory and encryption upgrades. Schlage describes moving an offline lock to RealSync as a module swap after a factory reset, followed by recommissioning in a Wi-Fi access control system, and publishes FleX Module replacement instructions for it.
