Bradley Repair Kits and Service Parts: How to Find the Right One

Bradley Corporation (Bradley) publishes Parts and Service guides that break its washfountains and thermostatic mixing valves down into numbered parts, repair kits and assemblies. This page shows how to read them, so you can find the right part number before you order.

Start with the model, the drain type and the date

The Classic Washfountain Parts and Service Guide (215-1370 Rev. R, 2019) opens with identification charts of model numbers, such as WF2603 (36 inch semi-circular, terrazzo bowl) and WF2705 (36 inch circular, stainless steel bowl). Page 6 shows the four drain types, A, H, O and B, and says: "Parts may vary depending upon drain type. Identify your drain type before continuing."

Parts also change over time. The Navigator EFX25 (S19-2100) guide has four parts breakdowns by date, and the Classic guide has separate foot valve pages for November 1973 to January 2003 and for January 2003 to present.

How a Bradley parts list is organized

The Classic and Sentry parts pages quoted here pair a numbered drawing with a parts list. The numbers on the drawing are the Item column; the list adds the Bradley part number, the description and the quantity. In the Classic guide's fittings lists the quantity is given for each size and shape (54 or 36 inch; semi-circular and corner, or circular), and parts marked "Not Illustrated" are listed but not drawn.

The guides show what a kit contains in more than one way. The EFX25 guide prints part numbers only for its kits, each with its own small table of item, quantity and description. Other tables put the kit in a column beside the complete part: in the Classic guide, Repair Kit S45-197 sits next to manual mixing valves S01-038, S01-038S, S01-038A and S01-038AS. Some pages mark the kit parts with an asterisk, as for Repair Kit S45-050 below.

Repair kit, assembly and prepack in Bradley's guides

  • Repair kit - only the items with a quantity in its column. Repair Kit S45-051 has the neoprene washers, bolts, nuts and washers, but not the sprayhead manifold, top or bottom, and the guide adds: "Repair kit does not include sprayhead grommet. Order as a separate item."
  • Valve with or without tailpieces - the Classic guide lists the stop, strainer and check valve as S60-003 (brass valve only), S60-003A (plated valve only), and S60-003S and S60-003AS (brass or plated, with tailpieces, nuts and washers). Repair Kit S45-050 includes the parts marked with an asterisk on that page, among them the strainer, spring and check assembly.
  • Prepack - on the semi-circular foot control linkage page, the Classic guide notes: "Items 3 through 11 are available in a Prepack." Those items are the spring clip fastener, foot lever spring, pivot pin, nuts, washers and bolts; the prepack is S45-004 for 36 inch and S45-004A for 54 inch washfountains.
  • Assembly and upper or lower kit - the Sentry Washfountain guide (215-1472 Rev. M) prints the AST4 air metering valve and its kits side by side:

S65-262Repair Kit (Lower)Diaphragm, armature, spring

Some of our product titles add the words "service only". None of the Bradley guides quoted here uses or defines that phrase, so match the Bradley part number, not the wording of a title.

Example: Bradley Navigator mixing valve EFX25 (S19-2100)

In its breakdown after March 19, 2018, the EFX25 guide (215-1806 Rev. B) lists six kits: Thermostat Kit S65-174, Piston and Liner Kit S65-175, Center Section Kit S65-304, Washer/Seal Kit S65-310, O-Ring/Seal Kit S65-173 and Check/Stop Kit S65-337. S65-174, for example, contains the thermostat (item 15) and two O-rings (items 17 and 21). The breakdowns before February 6, 2014 and from May 15, 2014 to March 19, 2018 use the same kit numbers. For February 6 to May 14, 2014 the guide lists S65-408, S65-409, S65-410 and S65-411, the same Check/Stop Kit S65-337 and no washer/seal kit. Each breakdown carries the note: "Kit numbers for rough brass finish and standard range thermostat. Contact Bradley for other configurations."

Bradley's S19-2100 product page states: "Model S19-2150 valve can be used as a direct replacement for the S19-2100 valve." The S19-2000 Navigator EFX8 has its own guide (215-1805 Rev. A), with kits such as Thermostat Kit S65-171. Navigator is also Bradley's name for the S59-4200 Series point-of-use valves; their technical data sheet (6/5/2024) lists the models by connection type, such as S59-4200X1 (1/2 inch PEX), but no service kits.

Example: S09-007S liquid soap valve

In the Classic guide's fittings lists, S09-007S is the brass liquid soap valve, two per semi-circular or corner washfountain and four per circular one. Its own page lists the valve body 118-025, packing nut, spring, washer and plunger, plus a nut and washers that are not illustrated. The guide says the valve "delivers a measured amount of soap with each upward stroke", and it warns: "Lotion soap will clog liquid soap valves. Use only lotion soap valves with lotion soap." The lotion soap valve on the same page is S09-057S.

Example: washfountain foot valve S07-066

The Classic guide's foot valve page for January 2003 to present lists foot valve S07-066 and notes: "This valve can be identified by the color of Item 3." Item 3 is the foot valve cover, listed as blue. Repair Kit S65-230 contains the cover, spring, O-ring, plunger assembly, valve seat, diaphragm, black phenolic washer, valve seat key and lubricant. The older foot valve, S07-015 (November 1973 to January 2003), has its own Repair Kit S65-001A; its valve body is marked no longer available, to be replaced with S07-066 as a complete valve.
