Morris Products identifies its conduit fittings by catalog number. This page explains the fitting types as Morris names them - connectors, couplings, nipples, bushings, locknuts and conduit bodies - with catalog numbers from the Morris fittings catalog and examples of matching items on our store.
Page numbers below are those printed in the 2026 Morris fittings catalog. This guide covers names and numbers, not installation.
Conduit fitting types: what each one joins
Morris's website lists these parts under Fittings, in four lists: EMT Fittings, Rigid Fittings, Conduit Bodies and "Elbows, Nipples Couplings". Morris describes them like this:
| Morris name | What Morris says it is for |
|---|---|
| Connector | Connects conduit to a box or enclosure |
| Coupling | Joins two lengths of conduit |
| Rigid nipple (zinc die cast) | With a rigid coupling, terminates threaded conduit where space in the box is limited; with a locknut, a short raceway between boxes |
| Conduit bushing | Used with a locknut to terminate threaded rigid and IMC conduit to a box or enclosure |
| Reducing bushing | Reduces the trade size of a tapered entry on a conduit fitting |
| Locknut | Secures threaded conduit or connectors to a knockout or unthreaded slip hole |
| Conduit body | Gives access to conductors for pulling, splicing and maintenance |
EMT fittings: set screw or compression
Morris's EMT Fittings list (24 products in October 2026) has connectors and couplings in set screw and compression styles, in zinc die cast or steel. Four of these lines, each from 1/2 to 4 inch with one catalog number per trade size:
- Steel set screw connectors 14880-14889 and couplings 14900-14909 (page 12)
- Zinc die cast compression connectors 14910-14919 and couplings 14930-14939 (page 13)
- Steel compression connectors 14940-14949 and couplings 14960-14969 (page 14)
- Steel rain tight compression connectors 14970-14979 and couplings 14990-14999 (page 15)
In these ranges, insulated throat connectors take the numbers in between, for example 14890-14899 (steel set screw). Page 12 lists "Pre-Set/Pre-Staked Combo Head Set-Screws" for the steel set screw fittings, and pages 12 to 14 list male NPSM hub threads for the connectors.
Each page prints its own statements, so read them for the exact product:
- Steel set screw connectors and couplings (page 12): "Concrete Tight (When Taped)"; the 2-1/2 to 4 inch sizes are marked "Also for use with Rigid & IMC".
- Zinc die cast compression connectors and couplings (page 13): "Concrete tight"; the 2-1/2 to 4 inch sizes are marked "Also UL Listed for use with Rigid & IMC".
- Steel compression connectors and couplings (page 14): "Concrete tight (When Taped)".
- Steel rain tight compression connectors (page 15): "Internal Sealing Ring & Knockout Gasket create Rain Tight Seal".
- Location wording is on Morris's product pages: for the zinc die cast compression connectors, "To secure and terminate EMT to knockouts in concrete tight box, dry or damp location applications"; for the steel rain tight compression couplings, "Use to connect EMT Conduit to EMT Conduit in Wet or Dry Locations".
In the EMT Fittings list, the three rain tight items are all steel compression fittings.
Rigid and IMC fittings: couplings, box connectors and nipples
- NPT rigid steel couplings 14387-14398, zinc plated steel, 1/2 to 6 inch (page 3). Morris says they join two lengths of threaded rigid conduit.
- Malleable rigid 3-piece couplings 14440-14451 (page 3): "Used to Join 2 lengths of Threaded Conduit when Neither Can Be Rotated" and "Threaded (NPT) for Rigid Conduit and IMC".
- Box connectors: Morris describes the malleable iron set screw connectors 14340-14345 (spec sheet) and the zinc plated steel compression connectors 14360-14365 (page 2) as connecting thread-less rigid conduit to boxes and enclosures. Both run from 1/2 to 2 inch with "Male Hub Thread (NPT)".
- Nipples: zinc die cast rigid nipples 14480-14489 (page 7) and the insulated throat version 14490-14499 (page 8), both 1/2 to 4 inch. Rigid steel nipples on page 8 are listed in combinations from 1/2" X CLOSE to 4" x 12".
Bushings and locknuts
- Conduit bushings, zinc die cast, 14530-14539, and with insulated throat 14540-14549 (page 9). The page says the bushing's "rounded surface prevents damage to wire insulation during pulling".
- Malleable reducing bushings 14700-14709 (page 10): "Threaded for rigid and IMC condulets, Hex Shoulder". They are listed by two trade sizes, such as 2-1/2" x 1-1/4" for 14701.
- Locknuts (page 43): zinc die cast 14720-14722 (1/2 to 1 inch) and steel 14760-14771 (1/2 to 6 inch). Morris's product page gives the steel locknuts as galvanized steel.
Conduit bodies: T, LB, LR, LL and C
Morris's Conduit Bodies list includes aluminum T, LB, LR, LL and C bodies in two versions: Aluminum Rigid Conduit Bodies - Threaded and Aluminum EMT Set Screw Conduit Bodies. For the threaded T and LB bodies, page 25 says they are "Threaded for Rigid & IMC Conduit" and "Provide Access to Conductors for Pulling, Splicing, and Maintenance" and lists "Tapered Threaded Hubs (NPT)" and "Rain Tight when used with Gasketed Covers".
Each of these bodies is listed alone and with cover and gasket. For the threaded LB on page 25, 14040-14049 is the conduit body only and 14050-14059 comes with cover and gasket.
Reading our Morris product pages
The Morris titles shown below this post start with Morris and the catalog number, as in Morris 14885 EMT Set Screw Connectors for Securing EMT Conduit in Enclosures. On these pages, the Description field under Attributes gives the product name with the trade size - for 14885, EMT Set Screw Connectors - Steel, 2 inch. Some titles leave out details: 14972 is the 1 inch steel rain tight compression connector.
Catalog pages 2, 25 and 43 carry the note "Images and Specifications may not be representative of all products listed." Match the catalog number and trade size, not only the photo.
