Hafele Cabinet Legs and Levelers: AXILO and Other Adjustable Feet

Hafele's catalog lists several kinds of feet and levelers: base cabinet feet with toe kick clips (including the Hafele AXILO leveling system), base levelers, furniture feet and glides. This guide shows what Hafele's documents print for them - heights, adjustment ranges, load ratings and the parts ordered together.

Sources: Hafele's catalog The Complete Furniture and Cabinetry Hardware (2026 edition, on hafele.com), section 6 (page numbers refer to it), and Hafele's AXILO pages on hafele.com. Item numbers are explained in How to Read Hafele Item Numbers.

Hafele adjustable feet: which family do you need?

  • Base cabinet feet (6.16-6.27, AXILO on 6.16-6.20) - adjustable feet under a cabinet, with clips that hold the toe kick panel.
  • Levelers (6.52-6.56) - threaded levelers and base levelers, some with pound in prongs or a supporting bracket.
  • Furniture feet (6.12-6.15), including height adjustable feet (6.14); table legs (6.28-6.44) and glides (6.49-6.51) are separate sections.

How Hafele AXILO works

An AXILO adjustment foot plugs into a mounting plate, and the catalog lists height adjustment with the AXILO adjusting tool (6.18). Hafele's product page for the feet says the height is adjusted from the side via a conical wheel using the adjusting tool, or by rotating from above with a slotted screwdriver. According to Hafele's AXILO page, you always work in front of the cabinet with the level in view, and reach the rear plinth feet without bending over or crawling.

Feet and mounting plates are ordered separately (note on 6.17; Hafele's product page for the feet). That page lists each foot as supplied with 1 tube with adjusting foot, pre-mounted.

  • Mounting plates (6.17): rectangular, screw mounted (637.76.341) or press fit into 10 mm holes (637.76.334); corner plates 637.76.342 and 637.76.343; ring plate 637.76.344, which the catalog says is used when support tabs and toe kick clips are not required.
  • Adjustment feet (6.18): seven installation heights, each with an adjustable range of 30 mm (-10 mm / +20 mm). Per Hafele's product page, installation heights are total after the foot is fitted into the mounting plate.
  • Spacer 637.76.422: plugs into the bottom of an existing foot to add height (10 mm in the drawing) and can be stacked.
  • Press-fit low profile foot 637.76.460: for toe kick heights of 35-48 mm (1-3/8" to 1-7/8"); it press fits into a 35 mm hole and is supplied with a mounting plate.

Example: AXILO adjustment foot 637.76.352 (80 mm).

Load: the 2026 catalog lists 150 kg (330 lb) per foot (6.18). Hafele's online product page for the same feet lists 250 kg for static loads and, during adjustment, 80 kg per foot under rotating load. The two sources differ, so for heavy cabinets check the current rating before ordering.

Hafele AXILO adjusting tool: premium or light

  • Light adjusting tool 637.76.430 - 640 mm (25-3/16") from fork to handle end as drawn, by hand only, no adjustment angle; the catalog calls it a simpler version of the premium tool (6.20). Hafele's product page for it says to order AXILO feet separately.
  • Premium adjusting tool 637.76.360 - 660 mm (26") from fork to handle end as drawn, 6 mm (1/4") chuck, adjustment angle 0-10 degrees, supplied with a 6 mm (1/4") bit; the catalog note says to adjust height by hand or with an electric tool (6.20).
  • Extension 637.76.361 - listed with the premium tool (6.20); Hafele's AXILO page says the tool and the extension both have a 1/4" chuck and the extension reaches the plinth feet of corner base units.

Toe kick clips for Hafele AXILO

  • Speed clips plug into the mounting plates and hold the toe kick panel: 637.47.491 for 16 mm (5/8") panels and 637.47.490 for 19 mm (3/4") panels. For the speed clips the catalog gives the plinth height as H minus 5-10 mm (6.19).
  • Toe kick panel clips 637.38.054 (screw mount) and 637.38.063 (groove mount), white, for use from installation height H = 80 mm (6.19).
  • Toe kick panel clip 637.38.354, black, for aluminum or plastic toe kick panels, slides into a groove on the back of the toe kick; for use from H = 100 mm (6.19).

Other Hafele base cabinet feet

More base cabinet feet are on pages 6.21-6.27. A selection as printed: the 78 mm and 28 mm heights are nominal, the others are ranges. For the 78 mm feet the load line reads "easily adjusts weight/leg: max. 150 kg"; the others list a weight capacity (per leg for 28 mm, per foot for XT).

28 mm 2-part80, 100, 120, 150150 kg

Offset feet100-120, 120-140200 kg
30 mm feet91-119, 141-169113 kg
  • 78 mm feet (6.21): base heights include the mounting plate, tube and adjusting foot; adjustment range -10/+18 mm; square plates press fit (637.79.300) or screw mounted (637.79.301). The catalog says bayonet locking of the tube in the mounting plate prevents it from pulling out during tilting, especially on tall cabinets. Example: 637.80.351, base height 100 mm.
  • 28 mm 2-part feet (6.25): the base plate remains stationary during adjustment; adjustment range -5/+10 mm. The same page lists toe kick clips for the 28 mm shaft, groove mounted (637.45.915) or screw mounted (637.45.906). Example: 637.45.326, height 100 mm.
  • Offset feet (6.26): the catalog calls them ideal for use with undermount slides, as the adjustment access hole is offset from the cabinet side; they adjust through the top with a 6 mm hex key, ordered separately. Example: 637.19.220, 100-120 mm.

Hafele furniture feet, glides and levelers

Under Furniture Feet, the catalog lists aluminum height adjustable feet that adjust at the top plate by 18 mm (23/32"), round (35 x 100 mm) or square (35 x 35 x 92 mm), supplied with 4 feet (6.14). Example: 634.16.211, round, polished chrome.

Glides on page 6.49 include nail-on plastic and steel glides and screw-on felt glides. Among the base levelers, the heavy duty 637.67.900 with a supporting bracket has a weight capacity of 200 kg (440 lbs), and its drawing notes a 15 mm (19/32") hole in the cabinet bottom for adjustment (6.54).
