Reese Enterprises, Inc. publishes installation instructions, cut sheets, CAD drawings and specification sheets for its thresholds, weatherstrips and door bottoms on reeseusa.com. This page shows how to find the Reese documents for the Product ID shown on our product pages, and what each contains.
Where Reese puts the documents for a number
Each of the 15 Reese product pages we opened on reeseusa.com in October 2026 has a RESOURCES block. Its document buttons included:
- DOWNLOAD SPECIFICATION SHEET - a Word file (.docx)
- HOW TO ON INSTALLATION - the installation instructions (PDF)
- DOWNLOAD CAD DRAWING - a .dwg drawing file, not a PDF
- DOWNLOAD CUT SHEET - a one-page product sheet (PDF)
- DOWNLOAD RATINGS - a sound and air infiltration sheet (PDF), only on the 320, 330, DS75 and 797 pages
Not every page has every one: the 323 door sweep page has only a CAD drawing, and the 608 self-adhesive page has no installation instructions or CAD drawing. On four Reese category lists we opened, the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS button points back to the list itself.
From our Product ID to the Reese page
- Find the Product ID line under Specifications on our product page: S483 on our S483DPR panic threshold, DB595 on our DB595DF door shoe, 320 on our 320C-36 automatic door bottom.
- Add it in lower case to www.reeseusa.com/products/, for example www.reeseusa.com/products/s483. This worked for all 15 numbers in the table below.
- Do not use the full part number: the address ending in s483dpr returned Reese's 404 page. In S483DPR, D and PR are material letters: page 4 of the 2024 catalog lists D as dark bronze anodized aluminum and PR as a polyprene insert.
- One of the 13 product pages we checked had no Product ID line: our 797B-17FT smoke seal page. Page 29 of the catalog lists 797B Black and 797W White, so its Reese page is www.reeseusa.com/products/797.
What a Reese installation sheet contains
We opened 13 installation sheets. Each names the product and gives numbered steps, which we do not repeat here: 4 on the threshold and 797 sheets, 7 on the DB595 and 1030 sheets, 8 on the perimeter seal and automatic door bottom sheets.
- Automatic door bottoms, 320, 330 and 370 (2021 files, two pages): pictures of the parts included and the tools needed, a labeled drawing, maximum cut sizes, a carpet note and a WHAT TO WATCH FOR DURING INSTALLATION list.
- Thresholds S483, S205 and E1 (2026 files). The S425 page links an older, image-only Thresholds sheet (a 2013 file) covering 37 numbers from V300 to S498.
- Perimeter seals DS75, 815 and 855. The 855 sheet notes: "Top piece has no holes and is to be drilled at the job."
- Door shoe DB595, Dark-AN door bottom 1030.
- Smoke and draft seal 797 (2023 file), with a WARNING box on surface preparation.
Under Please Note - Maximum Cut Sizes, the 320 and 330 sheets print:
- 24" cannot be trimmed.
- 36", 42" and 48" can be trimmed up to 3"
- All other sizes can be trimmed up to 1".
- Maximum Drop 3/4"
The 370 sheet prints "Maximum amount that can be trimmed is 2"". The 320 sheet says "The 320 automatic door bottoms are not designed to seal directly on carpet."
All 13 sheets print the same statement, beginning "Positive Pressure Tested Gasketing Materials for Fire Doors." Ratings per number are under PRODUCT RATINGS on the Reese page, and the S205 and E1 pages list "Fire Rated UL10B" with no "Positive Pressure UL10C Category J" line. If the door is fire rated, confirm the rating of your exact number with Reese.
Cut sheets: profile, finishes and screws
The 13 cut sheets we opened are one page each (2017 to 2019 files): product and number, a profile drawing, finishes by letter (lengths or colors on the self-adhesive 608 and 797), the screws provided (on 7 of the 13) and a box for Job, Prepared For, Prepared By, Date and Remarks.
The 2017 S483 cut sheet lists finishes A, B (architectural brass) and D; the current S483 page lists Mill and Dark Bronze Anodized. The 2017 320 cut sheet lists C, D and G, while the 320 page and page 38 of the 2024 catalog also show black anodized (320BLK). Where they differ, the cut sheet is the older document; confirm with Reese.
Specification sheets and ratings
- Specification sheet: an editable specification section (08 71 00.18) with notes to the specifier. The S483 and 320 files (2020) have the model number filled in; the DB595 and 608 pages open a general weatherstrip section.
- Ratings: the 320, 330, DS75 and 797 pages open the same sound and air infiltration sheet, an older catalog page numbered 27; the 2024 catalog prints these tables, with fewer rows, on page 7. The results are for tested combinations of head and jamb seal, threshold and door bottom, not single parts.
Notes printed in the 2024 Reese catalog
The 2024 Door Hardware Catalog, linked at the top of reeseusa.com, prints these notes:
- Page 4: the standard screws furnished with thresholds and weatherstrips, and "Product drawings in this catalog are full size cross-section profiles, unless noted".
- Page 20, assembly components: "NOTE: Threshold Plates and accessories are furnished undrilled unless drilling instructions are furnished with order. Ordering fasteners only will not constitute drilling."
- Page 29, self-adhesive strips: "Note: All self adhesive weatherstrips must be applied on clean, dry frames between +50 degrees and +100 degrees F." and "Smoke seals have a pre-installation shelf life of 6 to 9 months."
- Pages 38 and 39, automatic door bottoms: "Reese Part No. 321 can only be trimmed 1" at the size 42"." and "When mortising door bottoms add 1/16" to 1/8" to part dimension."
