AVENTOS is Blum's family of lift systems for wall cabinets: in Blum's words, "doors move up and out of the way". This page explains the seven current AVENTOS systems, how the power factor picks the lift mechanism, and what else each system needs.

All seven are listed for cabinets up to 72 inches (1828 mm) wide (HL top: see below). Minimum inside depth in the technical brochure: 264 mm (10-3/8 inches) for HF top, HS top and HL top; 125 mm (4-7/8 inches) for HK-XS, or 100 mm with a special drilling position. The overview lists SERVO-DRIVE for HF top, HS top, HL top and HK top, and TIP-ON for the other four.
Power factor: how Blum picks the lift mechanism
The wording of the formula differs by system:
- AVENTOS HK top, HK-S, HK-XS (technical brochure) and HKi (HKi brochure): "Power factor = cabinet height [inch] x door weight including double handle weight [lb]".
- AVENTOS HF top: "Power factor = cabinet height* [inch] x combined door weight including handle weight [lb]", where the asterisk reads "Calculate with theoretical cabinet height (TKH) for asymmetrical doors".
- AVENTOS HS top and HL top: no formula; the tables go by cabinet height and door weight (the HL top lift mechanism by cabinet height only).
The row whose range contains your power factor gives the lift mechanism. Blum's note on the HF top, HS top, HK top, HK-S and HK-XS pages: "We recommend the more powerful lift mechanism for applications in overlapping ranges. A trial application is recommended when you are in a borderline area of the individual lift mechanism's power factor range." For a third lift mechanism the brochure adds "The power factor can be increased by 50%" (HF top, HS top, HK top, HK-S); for HK-XS: "Double power factor when using two lift mechanisms".

What to order with each AVENTOS system
- HF top: lift mechanism; lever set by cabinet height - 22F3200 (480-610 mm), 22F3500 (600-910 mm) or 22F3900 (840-1219 mm); cover set 22.8000.NA; door hardware set 78Z5530T28 (frameless or partial overlay face frame), 78Z5530TA9 (large overlay face frame) or 78Z550ATA6 (narrow aluminum).
- HS top: lift mechanism; lever set 22S3500; cover set 22.8000.NA; door hardware set 20S4200 (wooden doors and wide aluminum frames), 20S4200A (narrow aluminum frames) or 20S4F01 (large overlay 5-piece doors); EXPANDO T door mounting plate 20S42T1 for thin fronts.
- HL top: lift mechanism 22L2200 (300-389 mm) or 22L2500 (390-580 mm); lever set 22L3200, 22L3500, 22L3800 or 22L3900; cover set 22.8000.NA; the HS top door hardware sets; stabilizer rod 22Q1076U; above 1228 mm (48-3/8 inches) cabinet width, the overview calls for connector set 22Q080Z.
- HK top: lift mechanism with lever; cover set 22K8000; the HS top door hardware sets.
- HK-S: lift mechanism set with lever and cover caps; door mounting plate 175H3100, 175H3F00 (large overlay five-piece doors) or 20K4A00A02 (narrow aluminum); opening angle stops 20K7A41 (100 degrees) and 20K7A11 (75 degrees).
- HK-XS: lift mechanism with lever; cabinet mounting plate 20K5101, 20K51E1 or 20K5501; door mounting plate 20K4101, 20K4101A (narrow aluminum) or 20K4501 (large overlay five-piece doors). The Program Overview notes: "Does require the use of CLIP top BLUMOTION or COMPACT BLUMOTION hinges"; for TIP-ON the brochure lists CLIP top free swing hinges.
- HKi: lift mechanism; door hardware 24K42E1 (wooden doors) or 24K4201A (aluminum frames); cover cap set 24K8000.NA "For semi-integrated lift mechanism installation only".
For TIP-ON versions the brochures list a separate TIP-ON set 956.1004 (HKi doors over 400 mm: 956A.1004). The overview, which calls itself "a guide only", also lists templates and drill bits. Install and adjust every part as Blum's instructions for your system show.
Colors in our product titles
Blum prints the cover cap colors as dark gray (TGR), silk white (SW) and light gray (HGR). Some of our titles add DGK, LGK or WHK after the reference (for example 22F2500 DGK ... Dark Gray); the Blum documents cited here do not use them. If a range in our title differs from Blum's table, go by Blum's table and ask us.
Earlier AVENTOS HF, HS and HL parts
Our store also lists parts of the earlier AVENTOS HF, HS and HL, such as 20F2500.N5, 20S2A00.N5 and 20L2100.N5. Blum's conversion sheets list them next to the top parts:
- HF: lift mechanisms 20F2200.N5 (power factor 231-470), 20F2500.N5 (471-880) and 20F2800.N5 (881-1440) next to 22F2500 and 22F2800; lever sets 20F3200.01 to 20F3900.01 next to 22F3200 to 22F3900. The ranges changed, so choose by power factor and cabinet height.
- HS: nine lift mechanisms, 20S2A00.N5 to 20S2I00.N5, next to 22S2200, 22S2500 and 22S2800; lever set 22S3500.
- HL: lift mechanisms 20L2100.N5 to 20L2900.N5 next to 22L2200 and 22L2500; stabilizer rod 20Q1061UA next to 22Q1076U.
- All three: earlier cover sets next to 22.8000.NA, SERVO-DRIVE cover sets next to 23.8000.NA.
