CRL Sliding Shower Door Systems: Serenity, Cambridge, Crescent, Hydroslide and Cottage Kits, What Is Included and Replacement Parts

A roller on an old glass slider has cracked, or you are choosing a sliding kit for a new shower. If the hardware is from C.R. Laurence (CRL), name the system first. CRL gives each system below its own header bar and rollers (the Cottage CK and DK share theirs), and the kits differ.

Over a bathtub? CRL's pages for the Deluxe Serenity, Cambridge, Crescent, Hydroslide and Cottage kits list bathtub among the enclosure types. None of these kits includes the glass.

What CRL says about Serenity, Crescent and Cottage

  • Deluxe Serenity: the rollers run above and below the header bar, 78-3/4 inches long on the SER78 and 95 inches on the SER95.
  • Senior Deluxe Serenity: the catalog says it is "designed for use with 1/2" (12 mm) thick tempered safety glass (not included)".
  • Crescent: a round header with round rollers, and the fixed and sliding panels can be reversed at installation.
  • Cottage: top hung, with bolt-through top hangers and all rollers overhead. The CK has clear polycarbonate side jambs for more of an all-glass look; the DK has metal side jambs.

What is in each CRL kit

From the kit lists on CRL's current product pages:

  • Deluxe Serenity SER78 and Senior Deluxe Serenity: 78-3/4 inch header bar, four rollers, stopper, two track holder fittings for the wall and two for the fixed panel, thru-glass pull, door guide and 85 inch clear L-jamb. The U-channel or glass clamps for the fixed panel are ordered separately.
  • Cambridge: 73 inch header bar, eight rollers, two stoppers, two wall track holder fittings, bottom guide, two 40 inch bottom sweeps, two 80 inch clear L-jambs, two 24 inch towel bars and a tool kit.
  • Crescent: 78 inch header bar, four rollers, stopper, two wall mount fittings, two fixed panel fittings, bottom guide, two 40 inch bottom sweeps and an 80 inch clear L-jamb. The door handle or knob and the clamps or U-channel for the fixed panel are the customer's to supply.
  • Hydroslide 60 inch kit: upper track, two hangers, two rollers, two roller stops, floor guide, four track connectors, 36 inch half-round threshold and 95 inch L-seal.
  • Cottage: header, bottom sill, side jambs, top hangers, back-to-back knob, 24 inch towel bar, nylon rollers and bottom guide; the DK page adds screws and bumpers. CRL's pages say the installer supplies the tempered glass and silicone sealant.

Numbers from the catalog and current manuals. In CRL item numbers such as CAM73PS (polished stainless steel) and CAM73SB (satin brass) the finish letters come last; our CRL part numbers and finish codes guide lists them.

SERH2 is the 78-3/4 inch header of the SER78; the catalog gives no number for the 95 inch header of the SER95. The current Deluxe Serenity manual calls the stopper SERNDS1; the catalog page shows SERNS1. Wall and fixed panel fittings: SERAHW2 and SERFP2 (Deluxe Serenity), SRSERF4W and SRSERF4FP (Senior), CAMW2 (Cambridge), CREW1 and CREF1 (Crescent), HYDW90 and HYDG180 (Hydroslide).

For the Cottage kits CRL lists the DK66 hanger and DK6938 guide for 3/8 inch glass, the DK67 and DK6914 for 1/4 inch glass, and DK65 as the DK's metal side jamb. CRL's titles spell out two kits: CK146060BN is a 60 x 60 inch Cottage CK kit for 1/4 inch glass, DK386080BGA a 60 x 80 inch Cottage DK kit for 3/8 inch glass.

CRL lists the 40 inch P995WS bottom sweep in the Cambridge and Crescent kits. The catalog's Crescent page marks it for 3/8 inch glass and the P997WS for 1/2 inch glass. On the catalog pages the clear L-jamb or L-seal is DK80L, 80 inches, for the Cambridge and Crescent, and DK98L, 95 inches, for the Serenity systems and Hydroslide. The current Serenity kit pages list an 85 inch L-jamb instead.
