Selby Furniture Hardware Item Numbers, Finish Letters and Product Groups

Our Selby Furniture Hardware pages carry Selby's own item numbers, such as D1005Z, H2663N or XSMVO54110I. This guide shows the patterns in those numbers on Selby's pages and Selby's product groups, and says which of our groups each one covers.

How to read a Selby item number

Selby's product pages show the item number after "SKU:", with a separate number for each finish, size or mount choice. We found no key to these numbers on Selby's pages, so read each one as a whole; the examples share patterns, but none is a rule:

• First letter: in the examples, hinges start with H (H2663N), stays with S (S259LHP), KD fittings with K (KSWIRL35), magnetic catches with M (M910W), glides with G (GBLOCKX80U) and bed mechanisms with X (XSMVO54110I). Exceptions: the S149L folding leg fitting and the SC783W folding shelf bracket also start with S, X also starts the X7020005Z ratchet support, the X520934U shelf wire and the X244Z table lock, and Selby's P460WEDGEB Breakaway Leveling Wedge, listed with its glides and levelers, starts with P.
• Last letter: in the examples in the table below, Selby's variant names pair it with a finish. Not every number ends in a finish letter: on Selby's Drill and Drive Cylinder Magnet page, "Black | 9lbs" is MGEMOIS4, and the storage bed mechanisms X22401S, X22400S and X22402S end in S, but their variant names name no finish.
• LH and RH: the curved locking stays are handed. Selby lists S259LHP as Polished Brass, Left-Handed and S259RHP as Polished Brass, Right-Handed.
• I and X: in Selby's wall bed tables the last letter goes with the mount, for example XSMVO3950I Concealed and XSMVO3950X Exposed. Selby's horizontal bed page offers mechanisms for concealed mounting inside the bed frame or for mounting on the outside of it.

Selby finish letters

The same letter can carry different finish names, so check the name: Selby's own pages use D for Antique Brass on the hinge H2662D and for Antique Bronze on the stay S259LHD. The bi-fold hinge HS8303L also ends in L, and Selby's page gives it a dark brown powder coated finish. We found no US or BHMA finish numbers on Selby's pages.

Selby product groups

Wall bed and storage bed mechanisms

Selby's wall bed pages list the vertical XSMVO and horizontal XSMHO mechanisms in tables with "Lbs / Kg" and mount. For XSMVO54110I the vertical table gives a suggested bed size of Queen, "240/110" and Concealed. Selby's storage bed pages include five gas spring mechanisms (X2240140, X2240150, X22401S, X22400S, X22402S) and the Complete Storage Bed Solution with Frame and Slats (X8001, X8003, X8005, X8007, X8009).

Table hardware and table locks

Examples are the XTPE287 lift-top table mechanism, the H116P and H3640RDP table hinges and the X244Z and X599P table locks. D1005Z is Selby's "Extension Swivel - Pivoted Roller (Double Extension, 110 lbs)"; Selby's page gives a 13-1/2 inch extension and a 12-1/2 inch square plate and lists "Rated Capacity: 110 lbs".

Lid stays and lid hinges

Selby's page for the X7020005Z Lift-Up Ratchet Support lists "10-position positive locking." On Selby's Delta page the SDELTA stay and its brackets are separate items: SDELTABKT is the Straight Bracket and SDELTABRKT90 the Right Angle Bracket. The H370PFL lid hinge is in Selby's Non-Mortise Hinges group, listed as Bronze with a 3/4 inch offset.

KD fittings

Selby's Super Strong Cam Assembly - 35mm page lists the KSWIRL35 cam, the dowels, the nuts and the K531335 cover cap as separate items. Its variant names give K11358 as a 46mm dowel with M8 thread, K11558 as a 66mm dowel with M6 thread and K3535 as a 70mm dowel. For how cam connectors work, see our Hafele Minifix and Rafix guide.

Catches, shelf supports and other items

M910W is the White option of Selby's Strong Nylon-Housed Magnet. X520934U and X520734U are Selby's Magic Shelf Wires, 9-3/4 and 7-3/4 inches measured center-to-center. For KTENTI3, the Complete Shelf Magic Shelf Support System, Selby's page asks for a shelf at least 1-1/4 inches thick and lists "Load Rating: 2 units-90 lbs, 3 units-135 lbs."; it gives no maximum shelf depth, so ask us about a deep shelf before you order. TK150K, TK150P and TK150S are the slide-on glass door handles for 3/16 inch glass, and L3CTRDSKU is the desk gang lock version "For one 3-drawer pedestal."

When our title and Selby's page differ

Some of our titles word a Selby item differently from Selby's own page, and a few give a different size or rating. This guide follows Selby's pages: for example, Selby's table gives "165 / 75" (Lbs / Kg) for XSMHO140I and XSMHO140X, and the D1005Z sizes and the dowel sizes for K11358 and K11558 above are Selby's.
