Salice Installation Instructions and Adjustments: Hinges and Plates, Futura and Progressa Slides, Wind Lift System

The Salice product pages we checked link no instruction sheet, even where the address ends in "instructions", as for our CMP3A99 hinge. Salice publishes its drilling, assembly and adjustment pages in catalogues, short PDFs and videos; here is where to find them for our hinges, plates, slides and Wind lifts.

Finding the Salice document for our part number

Look up the Salice number from our title on salice.com (USA and Canada): the Product versions list of the Series M - 270 degree opening page, for example, shows "CMP3A99 = Wood screw, Nickel finish". On the product page, Catalogue links the full catalogue (the Technical pamphlet) and Documentation and video lists any shorter PDFs and videos.

All catalogues below are on Salice's Catalogues page. The Assembly instructions page has PDF manuals only for sliding systems and Excessories wardrobe fittings, which we do not carry, and videos for the other lines.

Salice hinge and mounting plate instructions

The main source is the catalogue Concealed hinges for the cabinet and furniture industries, D0CASAA03USA, Ed 16 - 11/2024. Its index on pages 84-85 gives the page of each number listed, such as CMP3A99 (page 28) and BAU3R19 (page 45).

PagesContents
4Boring pattern and K distance (100/200 and S series), hinges per door
5-6Overlay formulas (100/200 and F series), abbreviations
7-9Height, depth and side adjustment
10Assembly instructions, 100, 200, F and B series
37-50Mounting plates

Pages 7-9 carry the note "Please use #2 Pozidrive screwdriver for all screws" and give the height, depth and side adjustment ranges. Page 28 gives the M series its own ranges, such as a side adjustment of "+3 mm to -3 mm with 3 mm mounting plate".

The Series 200 - 110 degree opening page (our C2R6A99) and the Series M page list only videos under Documentation and video, such as "Sideways adjustment", and Salice's Face Frame mounting plates page (our BAU3R19) lists no document; for these, use the catalogue pages above (pages 28-29 for the M series). The S Series Excenthree page links a two-page Technical features PDF matching catalogue pages 54-55.

For Silentia+ hinges such as C1P6AE9, the Silentia+ catalogue D0CASAA29USA, Ed 06 - 01/2025, explains the adjustment switch on page 7: set to +, the soft close engages at 30 degrees; set to -, at 10 degrees. Page 50, for Series CU face frame and face mount hinges, uses switch positions 0 and I and warns: "DO NOT remove the soft-close mechanism as it will cause permanent damage." For our Air door-sets, such as CEL6XE9XXV, the Air catalogue D0CASAA15USACDN, Ed 07 - 07/2023, has the drilling scheme on page 4 and adjustments on page 13.

Futura drawer slide documents

For Futura slides such as our A7555/457, the catalogue is Futura D0CASAA04USA, Ed 12 - 04/2026. Salice's Futura Smove page links parts of it:

  • Technical information - Face Frame assembly and Frameless applications (pages 6-11): drawer preparation, face frame assembly (plastic or metal sockets), frameless assembly.
  • Clips: adjustments (pages 13-21): clips A750.010 and A754.010, drawer removal, height +2.5 mm, side +/- 1.5 mm and depth +/- 2 mm, then clips A710.610 and A720.610.
  • Accessories (pages 37-48), with drilling templates on page 44: A199800755010 for clip A750.010 and our A199800755009 for clip A710.610.

Progressa drawer slide documents

For Progressa slides such as our G5U6S533XXF6, the catalogue is Progressa D0CASAA36USA, Ed 04 - 01/2026. The Progressa Smove page links Technical information (pages 7-13: slide installation, drilling patterns, drawer settings), Front locking devices (pages 17-23) and Adjustments (pages 24-27): side +/- 1.5 mm, depth +/- 3 mm and height + 2.5 mm, each marked "This operation is tool free."

Wind lift system: assembly instructions and charts

The Wind catalogue on Salice's Catalogues page is D0CASAA08USA, Ed 08 - 07/2022. The Wind product page links three parts of it and the video "Wind - Assembly and adjustments":

  • Technical features (pages 3-5): frameless and frame drilling patterns, overlay and minimum reveal tables, "85 degree opening with stop device (premounted)" and "94 degree opening without stop device".
  • Assembly instructions (8 pages): assembly from attaching the base to the cabinet sides to installing the covers, adjustments 1-6 (spring strength, decelerating effect, angle reduction clip, height, side, depth), disassembly and the optional top mount bracket.
  • Charts and Spring force identification (pages 18-20).

The assembly instructions note: "Use 5mm x 13mm system screws or #7 x 5/8" wood screws."; "LH lift mechanism must be installed in LH base, RH lift mechanism must be installed in RH base."; "When using the top mount bracket, the overlay is reduced by 3mm." The adjustment page warns about the security cable ties: "Remove the cable ties only at the end of the assembly."

How to read the Wind charts

Salice: "Use the charts to determine the correct lift mechanism based on the door height and the door weight. When calculating the door weight you must include the weight of the decorative hardware." Each chart (door weight in pounds, door height in inches) has a drawing that highlights one spring package letter: W (door height 8-5/8" to 15-3/4"), D (8-5/8" to 24"), I, F and S (12-9/16" to 24"). The I, F and S charts are divided into bands for 2, 3 and 4 Wind lifts. The first chart page states: "The maximum door width for two Wind lifts is 1200mm/48"." For larger or heavier doors it describes adding Wind lifts, either with a center partition or with the Top Mount Brackets.

The letter is part of the kit number. Page 16 prints FRAKFEX_SN9 (soft close) and FRAKFEP_SN9 (push opening) with the blank for the spring package letter, so FRAKFEXISN9 is the soft close kit with spring package I. Salice calls the FRAKFEX kits soft close where our titles say Self-Closing, and names spring packages by letter, not by color. One kit box contains 2 hinge cups, a right and a left hand lift mechanism, a right and a left hand cabinet base, and 5mm x 13mm system screws. Cover sets such as SRXA78A1SNXXF hold a right and a left hand cover; top bracket sets such as FRAUFEXXSN1 hold 2 brackets and 2 covers (pages 16-17).

For every spring and adjustment setting, follow Salice's instructions. General flap and lift terms are explained in our Hafele flap fittings guide.
